Light & Form x Nanjala Design Fabric Visualization

Daniel Echessa, a phenomenal Kenyan-based architectural visualisation artist, reached out to Nanjala Design after stumbling upon the prints on LinkedIn.

Delightfully impressed by each other’s work, their brands —Light & Form and ND — collaborated on a project that brings fabric into interior spaces, showcasing the possibilities of using Afrikan-inspired textiles. In Kenya, many interior designers resort to importing “African furnishings” from global north brands that have appropriated our culture. This body of work tells a different story — that one can source locally, buy African, by Africans, and from the continent.

Drawing inspiration from Botanista 2005 Usiku and Black Petals, Daniel presents a contemporary take on using Teresa’s Afrofloral fabrics to create a beautiful ambience in both home and office spaces.
