The world is very good at celebrating the finished work. What it rarely sees are the failures, bad drafts, abandoned ideas and countless iterations that came before it.

Our founder reflects on the less visible side of a creative practice, and why creativity has more in common with sport than we often acknowledge. You practise. You fail. You learn. You keep going.

The breakthrough may look like talent or luck from the outside. Usually, it is the result of having stayed with the work long enough.

For anyone building a creative practice, the advice is simple: keep making. Keep failing. Win sometimes. And when you do, keep going.
