What began as a way of putting ideas into words gradually became another part of her creative practice. Writing gave her a place to document ideas, question her work, reflect on what she was learning and make sense of the journey as it unfolded.

Looking back, she reflects on how much has changed and why she believes designers should document their journeys too.

Designers spend so much time making, but the thinking behind the work can easily disappear once a project is finished. Writing creates a record of that thinking. It captures the questions, lessons, detours and ideas that might otherwise be forgotten.
