Based in Western Kenya, DESECE is a leading provider of development education services in the community, supporting social justice and poverty reduction.
The NGO’s mission is to empower, sustain, and flourish disadvantaged communities by providing superior quality development education services in climate change adaptation through the promotion of agroecological practices, poverty reduction, and social justice.
ND’s role was to help them refresh their brand identity, inform on a new colour palette and develop a range of stationery and promotional items for the organization.
We also supervised the production of the artworks by liaising with printers in Nairobi, Kenya to provide the best quality outputs for DESECE.
Some of the applications we developed for them were a refreshed logo design and a carefully chosen colour palette inspired by the lush green environment typical of Western parts of Kenya. The colour scheme also informed on the paint colour choice for the exterior and interior architecture of their Mukuyuni, Bungoma County, Kenya offices.
We also designed directional and road signage, uniforms for their social workers, and a range of office stationery such as business cards, letterheads, invoice notes, receipt books, and envelopes.
The project began in 2018 – 2023 and was funded in two tranches by Horizont3000, Bruder und Schwester in Not Diözese Innsbruck (Brother and Sister in Need), and Aktion SEI SO FREI, Austrian Development Agency (ADA).
Budget: $7,120 + (between 2018 – 2023)
